I came across this meme somewhere on the web:

"If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you've got Paul's vote for life."

Fully 50% of Americans now pay little to no Federal income tax, so we've reached the tipping point.  More and more people will now be voting themselves money out of their neighbor's wallet at an ever increasing rate.  Ben Franklin warned us about this:

"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."
