The defecit numbers tell the tale:

And as dramatic as that chart is, it doesn't even take into account their pending universal healthcare entitlement and "cap and tax" energy legislation, which will dramatically increase spending while dramatically slowing the economy.
So why would they do such a thing? Some have suggested they may be trying to overwhelm our Capitalist system (the root of all evil in the world according to the far left) in order to force its replacement with Socialism, using a political strategy called Cloward-Piven.
From Wikipedia:
The Cloward-Piven strategy refers to a political strategy outlined by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, then both sociologists and political activists at the Columbia University School of Social Work, in a 1966 article in The Nation. The two argued that many Americans who were eligible for welfare were not receiving benefits, and that a welfare enrollment drive would create a political crisis that would force U.S. politicians, particularly the Democratic Party, to enact legislation "establishing a guaranteed national income."
It sounds implausible for a sitting President and his party to conspire to deliberately make our economy worse, but their actions to date (rushing through massive spending, taxation and entitlement programs one after another), statements like Rahm Emanuel's "never let a serious crisis go to waste" comment, and these defecit numbers going forward give credence to what would otherwise be a ludicrous notion.
The Democrats are apparently trying to worsen the very economic downturn that they themselves are responsible for causing, and if we don't have a major course correction in the mid term elections it may be too late to stop them.

Preachin' to the choir, here, Woody. In fact, I'd not say the Dhimmicraps are "...apparently trying to worsen the very economic downturn that they themselves are responsible for causing..." Nope, I'd say definitely, especially given recent open-mouth-insert-foot comments by Jean Fraud sKerry saying that since the economic "downturn" lessened the US's carbon output so much in the last year, "we have to keep going"... Yeh. That's great. Screw up the economy some more to effect greater reduction of CO2, when more and more evidence keeps coming out that CO2 has no effect on causing global warming.
And, of course, while they're using this fake excuse to ruin the economy, it just plays into the whole "remake the US as a third world country" project of The 0! and his minions. *feh*
There's no "apparently" about it. I'd say impeachment of most of Congress and the Executive branch for treason would be about right, but who'd we get to hold the impeachment trial? At least (and I'm being generous) 2/3 of the Senate, where the trials would be held, ought to be defendants!

Spend a couple of days getting all your news from the networks (no cable) and your local newspaper. At the end of that couple of days ask yourself if there's any real problem with the way the gov't is handling things. Ask any random person you run into on the street or at the gas station and ask them if they know who Pelosi or Reid are.
When you're done, go home and cry yourself to sleep. I think we're screwed.

Ah, you found those charts. I used one a while back. They're cool. I like the animated one.

Ah, Woody. I think I have to second ArmedGeeks comment. Short of a revolution we're fucked. And then the recovery from that.
Excellent post. I hope it wakes some people up. Those that read US, however, already know this. We need a call to action, and we need to try and fix this garbage peaceably before the lead actually does start flying.
*SIGH*
